Atrium Acoustics
The atrium reception area at Home Group headquarters suffered the same problems as many such areas - the reception desk is overwhelmed by reverberant noise, making speech impossible. Now the atrium space has been transformed using the Acousticabs Stretch Acoustic System with specially printed Image fabric. Bold, client supplied designs feature on the high walls and the acoustic system they conceal has halved the reverberation time. Now the reception staff and all people using the area can hear and be heard in comfort.

Acoustic Tapestry
In the Worship Space at the Academy of St Francis of Assisi in Liverpool, the challenge was to provide additional sound absorption on the walls with a striking tapestry design by Hannah Foden of architects Capita Percy Thomas. The solution was to translate the tapestry into a design directly mounted on the wall using the Stretch Acoustic System by Acousticabs. The resulting acoustic wall panel now provides a striking focal point to the Worship Space. This provides new possibilites for the designer to combine very high standards of acoustics with creative designs using multiple colours or specially screen printed fabrics. |
